I dont want to grapple, I want to reflex...
So, party gets hit by a web trap (thanks Obama), everyone but Jubilost reflex's/mobility's out just fine. Jubilost however is not. he is trying to grapple against a DC higher than he can hit on a 20.... Should be easilly in range of him passing a reflex or mobility check, but I am unsure how to get him to use one of those skills instead. Just activating mobility doesnt seem to do it.

Ideas?

They way web works is that you get a reflex throw to negate it when it is initially cast on you if you fail the throw or you start walking through the webbed area you need to succeed on the grapple checks

Though in PnP there is also an alternative to the grapple which is an escape artist skill check, though since the skill list got cut down for being managable in a video game setting this one didn't make it in.

This is a good piece of info to include size modifiers.

I don't know if Enlarge Person would do more harm than good...well, actually the harm is done so might be worth a shot. Otherwise it would take some major buffs to overcome the grapple penalty. If it's your own web Dispel Magic is the way to go if you carry the spell anyway. I haven't messed with the mechanics of it here much, but it is more punishing than other games (Neverwinter forward, anyway) to be sure.

Note that the skill list being cut down is actually a variant part of the Pathfinder ruleset, just as how the rogue, monk, and barbarian are all the Unchained variants, as well. http://www.d20pfsrd.com/skills/consolidated-skills-optional-rules/ though with some additional minor tweaking to make it more like Pathfinder Society rather than just Pathfinder (no item creation, etc).
