Verdant chambers and meeting the Nymph
I must be missing something, how are you supposed to meet the nymph? every time i visit her tree in the courtyard it tells me i should have come alone, but i see no way to enter the courtyard from the overland map with just my main character? also tried leaving the rest of the party outside the courtyard and just entering it with my main char but still get the same message, any help would be great!

You need to be alone.
I actually ignored it since I have more important things to worry about.

You have to leave alone from your capital. Quicksave before you go, because if you run into a random encounter on the long trip there and you're playing something squishy, like a wizard, it's basically a death sentence.

Ah thanks, guess I will have to reload an eariler save!

Actually you can just change your party at any point on the world map, just click the button which displays a group of 3 persons in the menu on the world map.

Cool thanks will try that.

Note one problem you will face is encumbrance. The "final" group from the selection needs to be able to carry all the gear, so you have to pack light.

Just leave all your shared inventory (beside some potions/scrolls) in your chest near your Throne, and go for the Verdant Chambers. With a 10 strength MC, I didn't suffer from heavy encumbrance.

or just turn off encumbrance from effecting the party.

Hmm I can only seem to find the button: The partys speed depends upon the weight you are carrying. I can not see the option to turn off encumbrance.

It's in the settings, but it still stops you from moving if you are overemcumbered.

I actually skipped this in my second game as my ahtletics was too low and using invisibility didn't work.

Sounds like you got it sorted out. It was pretty fun to try and get out with my cleric with negatives/crap skills on everything except knowledge religion, and persuasion. Invisibility potion/sneak past manticore, hydra, and bear- then plant blocks path to exit. Summoned 2 packs of skeletal champions and had a pretty epic battle. Barely made it out, returned with party and destroyed all! :-D

Advisable items to have: bag of holding/professor's hat; Heart of Ira
