Resting: how often
How often i can rest without getting into trouble?

Currently i manage 1 rest for every 4-5 (normal or hard) fights.

Depends on the difficulty of the fights of course, but that sounds pretty efficient i'd say.

On Normal enemies/stats and damage taken 1x I'd say you should try to clear dungeons without resting, whereas on hard you might need to rest when things go critical. I'd rather stock on scrolls rather than resting but my party comp supports that.

If you are talking about Act 1 on the 90 day limit you should be doing more than fine. Pretty good actually. If you're save scumming to make it through fights just so as to avoid using spells/heals too quickly you can probably afford to take the foot off the accelerator a bit, not worry about it so much.

I don't like resting unless someone is fatigued (permanent). I don't always rest immediately then either. I suspect you can rest a lot more frequently than that. On challenging difficulty I've tended to think if I can't complete an area without resting, I'm underlevelled. Tank and spank is too effective. Send in Valerie whilst everyone else practices crotchet. Once most crochet projects are done, have everyone else join in.

It depends on your level, at low level i was resting after 2-3 fights depending on their difficulty. Now at level 15, I only reset after 8 or so, when all of my companions at minimum hp.

Playing on unfair, didnt add about difficulty.
I tend to rest every fight or so when I'm playing a caster, because the NPC's just can't pull their weight and a caster main isn't really a workhorse, at least not early game. Every fight, and then a lot of save reloads too.

If you're just running a base 20 str fighter, though, you should be able to clear maps without resting too much. Things may change around later in the game, but early and mid thigns definately favor melee classes.

Nto man people are going to be able to give you great advice on this. Unfair is just that, unfair. On Challenging, I tend to only rest 1-2 times max per dungeon. But Unfair could cause so many different variables it's hard to say.

Sounds really good, use that party wide heal the clerics have, the first dungeon I had to rest in was on Vanishing Varnhold, in Chapter3/4.

Difficulty?

I try not to, there's just not enough time. Only when everyone is exhausted, and movement slows to crawl... casters are pretty much deadweight in my party, always out of spells.

Do rations restock? I found they do at Oleg's but in your city (Tuskdale) they seems do not.

Can someone clarify?
