Mystic Theurge building.
Its a 'dubious at best' PRC, 3 lost caster levels hurts, no avoiding that.

Doin it anyway! :p

Any ideas on getting the most out of it? I'm heavilly leaning towards Druid (a pet would be gimpy quick, any thoughts on the 'least bad' domains?) and Conjuration Wiz.

You can probably tell already I'm looking to have a diverse zoo for summoning, that'll be the trick I teach my pony. conjuration spec for wiz adds very little, but an extra round on summons helps offset the 3 lost caster levels a smidge.

Would of course be picking up the chain of feats for stronger summons.

Any thoughts on this idea? (pointing out critical flaws/things to add in/unexpected synergys/ect?)

I'm doing the same with my character. I'm human universalist wizard / cleric ecclesitheurge of Nethys with knowledge and protection domain. i'm going heavy on summons and they are doing just fine. My build is pretty much only for roleplay i love doing a sort of nerd magic knowledge-loving.
For wizard go for conjurer if you want to summon from the beginning, won't be perfect but at least they take one round of attack more. I go universlaist because i hate to lose the versatility and MT is all about it. For cleric ecclesitheurge i think is the best because you take the arcane bond from it, so if you take arcane bond from wizard you have 2 more spell per day.I think druid is good at the beginning but pet lose everything in late because you won't take any level in druid if not 7 at maximum ( you can take the feat but should just be 4 more level) . Besides i think you should go something like 1 level wizard / 1 level divine class / 2 level wizard / 2 level divine class / 10 level MT / 4 level wizard. You have level 7 spell for divine and level 9 spell for wizard ( they are just better IMHO ). You can take augment summon and superior summoning at low level and just spam dogs and wolves, they are not good for damage but they take hit for you, later summons are great, bralanis and axiomites are super, you'll have a horde just for you :).

Hope to have been of some assistance

Ops, i'm just at chapter 3 at level 11 , didn't know, so with MT can take level seven spell at best . That's unfortunate

Yes, currently there isn't enough content to get to level 20, 16-17 is the most you can get, maybe 18 if you were extremely lucky

I started a MT as a cleric of Nethys/Universalist wizard but I will have to leave it at level 2 at Oleg until expansions come.

I have to warn you, the end game is extremely difficult, even on the lowest setting so do surround yourself with good party.

Nah, not anymore - permament Wild Energies was a bug and was fixed recently. So, as long as Hellfire Beam & Greater Shout aren't fixed - AT will trump everything here now :)

I just finished the final battle, took me 5 tries - believe me, it isn't easy now either.

I built Tristian as an MT; I wanted him to have some Sorc buffs to help with his extreme squishiness. You definitely want to have the same DC stat for both of your classes. It wasn't great, but it wasn't horrible either. The sorc spells helped with the lack of offense in the cleric spell list and he had a ton of casts. Once I had him flinging sense vitals buffed ray attacks he managed to contribute nicely to the party. Being able to cast some of the cleric spells spontaneously (MTs get to cast spells from the "other" list, using spellslots that are one slot higher) was useful at times as well.

Only use I can see for MT is to be a buff bot in a team of 4 or less to lvl up faster. Wouldnt even waste a second trying to cast anything on enemy with that.
