How do you defeat Mandragora swarm?
I know you need AOE spells and such, like for the spider swarms. But these things man. They swarm everything incredible quick, and it seems AOE only has a minimal effect on them. Need some help here!

Channel Negative Energy. It's the answer to many things.

Or throw acid flasks etc.

I had several caster bombard them, Disintegrate by Octavia, Firestorm by Hagrim (Druid), Shout by Linzi, and Controlled Fireball by Tristian. Still got hit with -12 to strength before they died, but its only one swarm fortunately.

I sent in Jaethal and my Fiery Body buffed Wizard first, then let the other party members kill them at a distance. I think the elemental forms are also immune to attribute damage, but I didn't try them.

I'll add another hint. They don't like the darkness. Even though there's no Darkness Spell in the game, if you fight them at night, they don't have their fast healing ability.

If you can do ranged damage, a slow spell should make them easier.

For anyone searching for this in the future, I just meet 4 of these guys in the castle of knives location and the winning strategy is having a mage with fireball(make empower/maximize versions) and at the start of the combat having everyone in the party who can use scroll of fireball or any other high level spell if you have a cleric/druid then just kite(use haste on the party) and repeat the fireballs(it's enough just form the wizard).

This was on unfair, they have 305 hit points.

I am curios if anyone did this fight in another way.

Basically, Sirocco+Entangle for me. Pretty much my answer for anything I don't want to get close to.

When I meet Madragora swarms I just drop difficulty to story mode, summon undeads and bomb the swarms to death (and then switch back difficulty to normal).
Since the game is tuned like ♥♥♥♥ I have no problems abusing difficulty switch.

I don't think that it's a good thing to brag about cheating. People have beaten this on unfair. It just takes the right tactics to beat them.

Anything that has no blood will work to tank them.

I personally just use fire and mass heal scrolls.

I tried Animate Dead against them but the skeletons died very fast even though they didn't take strength damage.

Well actually people are free to do what they prefer. I just cleaned all the enemies in the house at edge of time in story mode (exept the ones with bosses) beacuse I find it trivial to just spam everything on every stupid battle (trying several times) and the lose more time resting than actually playing. Also the permanent effect I find them more a hussle then gameplay.
I'm also looking for a cheat (or a savegame) to open the book/door beacuse I miss some of the books needed and I cant find them anywhere (already travelled along all the floors two times but stil missing a couple of them).
Onesttly I'm finding this part very boring and stupidly difficult and confused.
