Monk's Fist, Dragon's Claw
I know that Wild Shape and other transformations work differently in Pathfinder than they do in D&D (stat bonuses instead of replacing physical stats, for example). Does a monk's improved unarmed strike benefit wild shape natural attacks at all? I know that the AC bonus applies while you're shapeshifted. Does a wildshape form receive the extra attacks from flurry of blows? Increased damage dice? I'm trying to decide how valuable some extra monk levels might be for a shapeshifting combat focused druid.

From what I have seen the monk dip would be useful for the AC bonus and out of shapeshift utility only.
I have a druid and dip 1 level to monk.
I am still messing around with this character and learning.

I am not shapeshifting yet - just hit 5 last night haven't tested as shaped, but flurry of blows works out of shape shift as long as you have no armor on (req) and a monk weapon (req). i go unarmed with ammy +1 and buff +1 and then use the druid stone fists.

Since druid is wisdom the wisdom + adds as AC also when you are no armor since you went monk.

I don't know if it works in this game...

In Pathfinder PnP, improved unarmed strike does not work with natural weapons. They are weapons.

That said, you can have natural weapons and still use unarmed attacks. A monks entire body is considered to be a weapon, not just fists or feet.

Also, weapons with the monk special ability can be used for flurry of blows, but they do not use unarmed strike as their base. For instance if you have an amulet of mighty fists +1, you will get +1 to hit and damage with your unarmed attacks, but not with a kama. But... you can use flurry with both.

Most people dip into monk to get the unarmored wis bonus to AC.

I prefer to go straight up monk because they're simply bad-ass.

Keep in mind that pathfinder monks, the unchained version, are a full BAB class with a lot of other bonuses to them.

I know that monk unarmed bonus definitely does not apply to the natural weapons generated by the Draconic sorceror bloodline, so I imagine it wouldn't for wildshape either.

Monk's fists are a weapon type by themselves and don't apply to claws. Other monk benefits like the AC work. As with all of Pathfinder, watering down a class is not a good decision, as they are all based on a class ability increase over time. This is deliberate to avoid the 3.5 problem with the Frankenstein builds using 4-5 classes to break the game.

I never got why that was a problem. assuming the xp penalty for non favoured class was used.

You have to check out the old min/max board, if it is still online. Some of the creations were hilarious, but entirely within the rules, like the halfling pally on his wardog mount (fits into any dungeon), who had 3 or 4 other class dips to boot, who could do tremendous damage. One of the problems was that you could get with the right 4 classes in 7 levels more power than someone with 10 levels in one class, which made the xp penalty just a speed bump. The thing was that many classes and prestige classes got their signature power/bonus feats at level 1 or 2, which made multiclassing so profitable. Also the save bump from level 1 in most classes.

The authors of PF wanted to avoid such builds at all costs from the start.

Oh, okay. In that case i'd just smile evily and go "Say hello to my little friend!" (Throws down book of House Rules)
Monk fists scale better than most weapons as you level.
I tend to avoid anything that makes my character less effective.
Unless I am deliberately doing something for flavor, like a halfling barbarian using reduce person potions.
