how to defeat the misbegotten troll???

This monstrosity has over 50 AC and my main character is a rogue with no debuff whatsoever. I am currently separated from the rest of my party, and apparently I have to kill this guy alone to get Ekundayo back. I tried lowering the difficulty to story mode, but it's still no use. I won't die, but I can't kill him either. No matter how hard I hit, he heals himself for 150 hp and we start everything all over again. Am I a noob? Maybe. But if a noob is stuck fighting the same monster for half an hour because neither the main character nor the monster will die in STORY MODE, then it is a strong indication that the devs screwed up.

I just defeated him with healing potions.... I spent like 30 of them... But now I can't ress ekundayo! Why the hell I can't do it?

Did he die via cutscene, or in a fight? If it's via cutscene, he's permadead by plot.

cutscene... so I guess I have to do it without him... damn... I used him in my party...

He's perma dead. AFAIK companion deaths are linked to their quest lines earlier in the game.

For me all my companions died except Jub, Jhael, and Valerie. I would have been 100% screwed if hadn't brought all Mercs.

Except Linzi. Linzi always dies. :(

I completed the quest of almost all companions in my party (Valerie, Harrim, Amiri and Linzi). All of them except for Ekundayo, because his quest was bugged. For some reason I could not advance in his quest after his picnic. All of the others companions lived, except for Linzi...

half of my party died because their quests were hopelessly bugged. all damage dealers. after 136 hours of playing the game - i stopped at this point - didnt feel like playing anymore not after losing half my party to a buggy game questlines. I Still like this game - just wont complete it anymore. Hearts not in it...

PK tried to emulate Mass Effect 2 - what ME2 is legendary for its companion quests and its the #3 RPG great of all time, had this game not be so bugged and i had lost my companions because of my stupidity - would have plodded on.

Sad really. will look again after a year maybe.

I hope not, ME2 is as arbitrary when it comes to C&C as it gets (not pat Morden on the back, Morden eats a bullet because he decided to stand in a doorway and goes all Aerie from FF7).

Even dumb hentai games track your progress through multiple integers. So when someone in PK decides to take a hike after spending 99% of time in your party and called you teh best and teh hero it feels bad man.

The troll is difficult to kill. I managed to do so, but it was irrelevant as there is s timelimit: One must kill the troll before it kills Ekundayo - which I have haven't been able to do thus far :-(.

And yes, I failed one of the Ekundayo quests - maybe it's then not possible to save him :-(

It's a tough fight, but you have to bring the damage to it. Definitely beatable.

get buffed up, get gud inititive check and hit him before he buffs his AC

- lure troll to the mist barrier (it cannot pass through)
- drop a Blade Barrier on him and he sits in it and dies

this worked, i've wasted 20 min of my life throwing EVERYTHING AT HIM, what a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ encounter. it totally deserves a bad review
