Remove Fear VS Unbreakable heart

Hey,

TLDR: When casting remove fear on someone affected by a fear effect, is the effect removed ?

I need to chose a spell for Linzi and I'd like to pick one of those 2.

According to the tootips, Unbreakable Heart can be cast on an ally to remove a fear effect, while this isn't the case for Remove Fear (strangely...).

However, when looking on the internet, I found this:

DESCRIPTION (REMOVE FEAR)

You instill courage in the subject, granting it a +4 morale bonus against fear effects for 10 minutes. If the subject is under the influence of a fear effect when receiving the spell, that effect is suppressed for the duration of the spell.

So I have 2 questions:

1) In Kingmaker, does the Remove Fear spell effectively remove an active fear effect if it it cast on an ally ?
2) If the answer to question 1 is yes, then what is Unbreakable Heart good for ? Dominate person, maybe ?

bump. I'd really appreciate if someone had an answer to the emphasized question. I've tried testing it myself but there are not so many fear casters around.
