Edit: Still have to admit that the perm-paralysis is going to be very very frustrating for underprepared beginners.
I think you can buy scrolls of cleanse / remove X or Y ....
Always a good idea to be prepared :)
I'm stuck at this point aswell now after the fight against Vordakai. MC is permanently paralysed and no one in my group can remove it. I also don't have any rations anymore, so resting isn't an option either.
I have no desire to reload and try the fight again and again till I get lucky and get out the fight without paralysis. This is really ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up.
It seems you imagined you can't rest, but you could just make your priest(s) select some spells removing paralysis, rest, cure and continue.
Once I had to learn a spell 7 times or even more, to restore levels, but I had 2 priests.
EDIT your name is a crap boredom, it breaks quoting. Enjoy bother people?
Reloading save is all you can do at this point other than rest. It's what I did and just had better luck the second time around and was not perm-paralysed on my MC. It is what it is.
That's exactly the issue (in my opinion). I understand that many people who play this game are fans and players of the tabletop, but not all players of this game are. There defintiely should have been a bit more focus on explaining to and teaching newer players about these things. Myself included. I'm not new to tabletop games, which is why I'm quick to dismiss people who reply with attitude along the lines of 'clearly you've never...' etc. But all tabletop RPGs are also not the same. Anyway, not important, point is that I agree, tutorials could definitely be more helpful for new players if they were a bit more fleshed out.
