Old Wedding Ring - Scythe Tree

The level 6 zone, witches swamp hut.

Kill the scythe tree monster for the fey, loot the ring. The ring is equippable.

I've finished swamp quest line with the scythe tree, the coins and the undead, everything is resolved, but the ring remains in my inventory.

Is there a hidden portal or a chest somewhere that can only be accecced by having the ring equipped? Or equipping the ring unlocked some dialogue??

Anyone know?

Pretty sure it was removed. A guide from late beta into release version indicates that there used to be a grave on some island in the bog, maybe the one in the southwest corner, but nothing is there. Unless someone else knows more, I think it's just a removed questline that didn't get ditched entirely.

Then again, I'm lugging about the stag lords ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ broken amulet like a dumbass hoping it comes up later, so who knows.

On southwest corner of the map is a small island behind mobility skill check where you can use the old wedding ring if you wish. The problem is that the body of the girl is invisible. It's closer towards the corner of map. Just slowly scroll over with your mouse until the icon changes into interaction icon. You can also anger the feys in the dialogue options if you want. In that case you will later encounter a random encounter battle with them. Their loot wasn't interesting so just put the ring there or put flowers on it. Latter option probably calms them too.

I have also found one invisible loot cache behind perception skill check that didn't show correctly but the loot was nothing special. (on different map)

Get to that little island just scroll your mouse at southwest pretty easy to spot

I cant understand which island you are meaning, tbh...I would love a screenshot as well, or further details...

Yeah, this must be a bug because I spent a while out there looking for it because of that guide, and she's not there.

Some people have said that she's just invisible, try to mouse over her, but... I mean I spent a while doing that and couldn't find her.

The girl model is bugged (probably an issue with textures actually), because the model is interactable, but not shown in game. S-W of the "island" your cursor will change. But pay attention, because the interactable hitbox is really small.

I don't think it's a bug. U need first to detect the body with the skill. And then interect with the pond where's the body is buried.
If u've detect the body u can chek u're map and u will see the icon for a loot who's show the pond u need to interact with it.

The girl on the island won't effect any quests that you do there, even the coins\ghost quest.
With the wedding ring you can do a NG action to leave on her body, but to my knowledge it has the same effect as doing a NG to leave flowers on it.
There is a NE option to loot her corpse for some crappy stuff, but that's about it - it's a flavor\lore thing.

I tried to find a way to get the jewel from the forge into the pendant and seal it to solve a world mystery but I haven't had much success...

You don't need a Perception check to detect the body, it's not "hidden" in the sense that you can "find" it with an in-game skill. It's bugged. The body is there, it's just invisible (to you and me) as someone said earlier. I've got the latest patches (as of 11 Oct 2018) and it's still there. You can still interact with it.

Most people here have found it, just wanted to add this because some people are spreading bad info: corpse is there, and you are able interact without a skill check.

I've been scrolling around the SW corner for about 20 minutes, can't find the body. Can anyone give me a clue - under the green bushes, in the blue water, how far from the corner? I seem to have covered every inch.
I've talked with the spectre and the ghoul. Killed the scythe tree. told the fey it was dead. Only thing I haven't done is kill the war-wisps (who destroy me pretty much right off).
