Repeating Crossbow?

What's the point of this? Does it fire faster/more often? There's no info in the game what the prefix entails...

It's a holdover from the PnP version. In that crossbows have a limit to their fire rate because it takes much longer to reload. Repeating crossbows have a magazine that holds a number of rounds, and can load another round as a free action. This allows them to fire as often as the user has attacks just like a bow does.

Wait--- I thought there was no gameplay difference between bows and crossbows in this game? As in, Linzi will fire just as often with a light crossbow as a heavy crossbow or a shortbow?

I dont think there is a difference in the game, only in the tabletop version.
