Are there any heavy armors available to Druids?
As the title says. Technically, if they get the proficiency from somewhere (like the feat, or dip in fighter) Druids should be capable of using nonmetal heavy armor. In practice, however, are there any heavy armors in the game that druids can wear? Or are all the available ones metal?

Ankheg armor!!!

J/K

I didnt get the heavy armor feat on my druid in P:K. I think it's a trap. I could be wrong though. I say avoid it on your druid or else you will be fighting without spells to compensate

A shame, some dragonscale or ironwood armors wouldn't have hurt. I'm guessing Blight Harrim will stay in his Hide Armor for a long time.

I think there is dragon scale from the dwarven craftsman that will create Dragonscale Plate (Heavy Full Plate +2. AC 11, Check penalty -5, Spell Failure 35, Max Dex 1. Acid resistance 30) which can be worn by druids.

I've gotten the Dragonscale Plate from the artisan early last three playthroughs. Don't believe the hype about kingdom management.

Oak's Pelt + Bracers + Wild Shape actually beats Heavy. Especially if you go Feyspeaker and pick up Image too.

There is also some dragon armour that you can get late game, which is wearable by druids - without needing heavy armour proficiency iirc.

It’s not late game. I’ve gotten it Ch. 2. Kingdom Management isn’t a tedious mini game, it’s what determines your gear.

I found it in my first play through, but I don't remember where. It's heavy armor, but it's hide.

Oak Pelt does not apply in Wild Shape (or at least it doesn't when I'm playing BtSL DLC). Not sure why.

Did for me. I’ll recheck tonight. That’s it’s intended and only real use so I’d be surprised if it didn’t.

Why not both ?

Because mini games (like Gwent and Arcomage) are by definition separate (okay, Gwent isn’t completely) from the main game, not fundamental to your success there.

It takes some work to get Dragn established and tiered up early, but there are also big payoffs. Nothing tedious about figuring out how to make that happen.

I think he means the black dragon breastplate (+5, medium armor) which is different from dragns Dragonscale Plate (+2, but full plate). It was in one of the areas to the west of pitax iirc.

Apologies then. OP referred to Heavy Armor.
