On my campaign calendar it the key event was at the 10th lamashan 4711, when it should have been finished. The interaction is very light, so nothing gamebreaking is happening if you haven't played the DLC, which is a separate adventure.
What I did is switch over and do the DLC when I was working on the Season of Bloom quest line, because I knew that I needed to have it done before finishing Season of Bloom but I didn't want to look any spoilers, thus wasn't aware of what exactly would lead to the "end" of the Season of Bloom.
Having been through it now, after Season of Bloom there's a short period of time before Varnhold Vanishing starts, and it is in early in that questline where it asks for the import from the DLC.
So essentially, my window is during Season of Bloom and a small one after finishing it? Do I have to finish Varnhold's Lot first if I play it during Season of Bloom?
But what's more important, I reckon, is to finish it prior to the next even about that Varnhold vanishing right?
But story wise and chronologically its when you start getting letters from Meagar Varn asking you to visit Varhold and that's during Season of Bloom chapter. After (minor spoiler) saving the capital and burning the flower would be the optimal time story wise to do the DLC.
I see, so that's the small window of downtime that Jaggid Edje mentioned where I can do the quest? I'm playing the game mostly from an RP perspective, so I want to know the chronological time I should play the DLC, thanks Mork!
