Hideous Laughter Bug?

Does anyone know about a current bug with this spell? I can only cast it on allies (and have been successful) but it never lets me use it on enemies... I took some screenshots

See anything about an intelligence of 2? No? That's because it's buried in the menu. Also... that's not the problem. It's a spell that targets enemies, yet will only target allies. It would just say they are immune or something if it were the Intelligence thing, it would still allow me to target them, that's how everything else seems to work in this game.

It must be ON by default, because I've never noticed the setting. The settings menu is wonky too though, it might have changed when i was scrolling down.

Still though. I will try on some more battles, but Hideous Laughter seems like a bust of a spell so far.

No, but I don't know if it works on anyone in my game. Is it Humanoid only? If so, it doesn't say it in the spell descrip. I still find it odd it only targets my own team members.

In my current playthrough, I have Linzi setup using Whimsy, Hideous Laughter chance on hit is hilarious cause it goes off a lot.

im not sure how hideous laughter works but it guess it only works on humanoids, it isnt stated in any tooltips but it makes sense it only works on humanoids for the "most" part

That would explain why I can't cast it on anything in this cave. It wouldn't let me cast it on goblins either, but their INT might have been below 2.

I had the same kind of "issue" with "hold person" spell.
Half of the ennemies cannot be targetted (because they are not 'person')
It is one of the reason i did not use so much Linzi, because each time i took her in my party, it "happened" the map i went to had mostly ennemies i could not target, and it kind of bothered me....

Hideous Laughter works great on giants and barbarians. I recall something about the target having to be humanoid, but that may be from a different system. I can confirm it works well on giants and trolls. Since it requires a Will save, it's really good to use on non-spell casters, like that raging barbarian breathing down Linzi's neck.

I can't wait to use it on some humanoids because I like the animation haha. I just got the spell in the Womb of Lamashtu and these Primal Matriarch Spiders are not having it.
