Is Cloudkill supposed to move with the caster?
I've noticed that you can control the direction Cloudkill travels by moving the character that cast the spell. If i move north, the cloudkill starts to slowly move north, if i move south, it will insted start to move south again until i move in another direction.

The spell moves away from the caster at 10 per round. If you move the caster, so should the cloud.

honestly, i don't think that's what the rules intended it to be. it's just supposed to be a very slow f&f projectile, not something you can control past launching.

This is the pnp rules for cloudkill movement :

"Figure out the cloud’s new spread each round based on its new point of origin, which is 10 feet farther away from the point of origin where you cast the spell."

That means that if the cloud moves north, it can move then north, west or east next round (depending on the terrain, like if it hits a wall it will follow the wall, and not just get stuck over hit), it just can't move back south because it comes from the south ("further away" doesn't specify a direction, it just means it can't go backward).

So yeah, the cloud should move in different fashion each turn, but the implementation shouldn't be tied to the caster after the first round.

It definitely mirrors my movements, i've tried it multiple times, it always moves to the same direction the caster does.
