Oh, they should have made them appear later then.
Well, the Wild Hunt and their difficulty are topic of a lot of discussions around here. Some say it's just the way it should be, others say it's out of balance. I belong to the latter group because my encounters with the were pretty unpleasant. Same experience as yours. Buffed to the max and still cut to pieces in no time. Lastly they went for all my casters first (including my healer) and sent me packing every time. Had to drop difficulty to the absolute minimum to continue playing. That being said you'll encounter more of them at the end of the game. Word to the wiser: Pack freedom of movement as much as you can and maybe, just maybe, you survive.
To me they should still be balanced to fit the rest of the game. But no more complaining. I finished the game yesterday and I leave it behind. Good luck with beating that bunch.
I had to reduce the difficulty a little bit, then i buffed, and i used some tactics to draw out their forces, it was difficult, painstakingly so, but i managed.
Know if theres a communal/mass version of freedom of movement? It's kinda annoying to cast it for 7 different party members separately.
Mass freedom of movement would be great in order to have a tool against them. Luckily the blindness they cause ends with the fights. Otherwise mass remove blindness would be a necessity too - at least for me.
That's how 3.5/Pathfinder works. To beat strong enemies you are forced to make optimal choices. Making suboptimal choices will lead to character death, regardless of who or what you are.
Check what some of the artisans brought you and which is now undoubtedly in Hassuf's inventory (at least nothing gets lost) ;) Especially rings and leather wares.
Know who sells them in bulk? I'd like to buy a couple dozen of them before the next fight.
Gimmick fight requiring foreknowledge to have any remote chance of beating.
If that is how Pathfinder works then it is actually not my kind of rpg. I like to have my freedom of choices and still be able to come up with a strategy to beat whatever comes my way. Where's the fun if I have to build my party up to meet a certain design. I simply don't like that.
