Bug or feature? A monk can not throw alchemists fire and acid flasks
I just started a new game and tried to kill the spider swarms with alchemists fire and acid flasks, but my monk can not throw them.

If that is the case, it is a bug. Thrown "potions" do not require a proficiency.

Oh, nevermind. I thought it would be possible to target an area with a flask, but you have to target a creature ...

It's still a bug as of today. My monk is unable to throw the Alchemist's Fire flasks, yet the acid flasks work as intended. You can't throw them without targeting a creature, but when you attempt to do so, they just disappear.
