If you still have this dialogue you're in a romance with her.
Have you camped on a map yet? Many of her dialogues are through that, also make sure you've completed her companion quests, as a couple are tied in with that.
I think you have to become King before you -really- start going out with her, and something along the lines of the Rushlight tournament which is act 5 iirc?
if you camp with her (not overworld, but on a map) you should get some scenes with her that will progress some. But she's a long burn romance. You love Valerie instead of lust her :b

What the Hell, man? I wonder when it feel off. Does it matter whether you're talking to her in the throne room or not?

Honestly, the Tiefling romance is so great, but also a hard one to fulfill!
You COULD save.file edit the variables to make Valerie like you again since this game is -such- a timesink.
Guess I'm just overly used to KOTOR style romances, where making a smart alec-y remark usually gets you the girl. lol
One minute she's talking about how much I remind her of some dude she used to bang, and how close we could be. I make a quick joke about how "I'd like that, so long as I get some hot nights along the way too." Annnndddd she bolts, and - apparently - forgets the whole thing.
Reminding me a bit too much of some RL bar/club experiences here, tbh. ROFL
I guess I'll have to look into editing the files then. Honestly, at this point its looking like Valerie or pretty much nobody. I already told the Tiefling I want to keep things casual, I ain't taking some Orc's poly-amorous sloppy seconds (its probably too late in the playthrough for starting that anyway), and I know damn well I won't be getting the secret ending with Nyrissa.
I'm in a harem relationship with the Tieflings and Valerie right now in Chapter 5 :V.
Eventually when you lock in your relationship with Valerie you'll have to break up with the others, yes.
For Octavia vs Valerie that event happens as early as chapter 2 or 3.
Tieflings and the secret romance, happen at the end of game.
So you can romance Valerie or Octavia while at the same time the tieflings or secret romance, but you cannot romance Octavia and Valerie at the same time (well you can, but either or will confront you about it ;b)
Can you tell me which specific code prompts/flags/values I should look for in the saved file in order to reset Valerie's romance?
And Valerie now wants a daily ride, too.
It's hard... very hard... so I mean really hard with a tiefling and a dame de beaute.
Well, hopefully Valerie is at least happier now and doesn't ♥♥♥♥♥ around so much anymore
It was...weird. I don't know what the trigger was, but I ran with it.
There was a weird bug too where I fixed her scar through her quest chain, then I got an event where she going to use a potion to fix the scar she no longer has :D
Aren't you supposed to get an achievement for romancing a character? Never got it.
