Regongar
The orc, how do u play him in fights? I find Magus class so underwhelming with their fizzel level spells and low AC.

touch spells on the weapon, huge critical potential is how I use him.

Why Regongar is a massive damage dealer:
-He has a swift magus accuracy feat, really good against high AC enemies.
-AFAIK His class is the only one that allows casting true strike and hit on the same round.
-Also, his offensive touch spells dont waste up if he misses, at least not in the first few times.

Why Regongar becomes a massive tank:
-He can cast mirror image, blue amd eventually displacement. In other words, he's a master of not getting hit, which is usually more important than high AC against very strong enemies.

Looking at most min/max builds, magus (with level dips elsewhere) can probably get the highest damage potential ranges. For me though, it's just too much micromanagement with that classes action economy and small windows for buffs. If you want to solo, maybe a traditional 4-char run, or just want a brutal slog through unfair mode, a magus is probably the way to go. Using 6 characters makes me look for as much passive control as possible, and that is the complete opposite of how to make use of a magus.

Its just that I have now a blast with my fighter in Kingsmaker but he can be a bit boring, cuz I fell he has almost no active skills. Is there a class with heavy armor with a little more active skills? Except for paladins?

well, 1 level in fighter + several classes will get you the armor and weapons. 1 fighter+ cleric gets you a more magicky paladin or a more fightery cleric (or inquisitor).
the kinetic knight is frowned upon by many but its weapon hits hard and it gets all kinds of cool abilities depending on the element(s) you pick up.
Barbarian has a heavy armor option. Cleric has one, but its sort of meh compared to a +1 fighter level. Rogues can go for heavy/str builds and still sneak attack. Slayer is a fighter with sneak attack, but not much more active skills. Alchemist, and others can do +1 fighter as well, their ability do not suffer from it as far as I know. Just cruise the character roller, look at everything and see who has a penalty for heavy armor or weapons ... skip those, and you have a lot left over that you can mix and match either by taking the feats or taking 1 fighter level or whatever.
