why is cold ice strike swift? its so random. any other spell that are swift?
can't find a list. I know there are couple paladin spell that are. that s about it.

Off the top of my head...

Grace (cleric 2, paladin 1)
Litany of... type spells (inquisitor/paladin)
Instant Enemy (ranger 3)
Resounding Blow (inquisitor 5, paladin 4)
Cold Ice Strike (wizard/sorcerer/cleric 6)

It's swift action because it takes up a much higher spell slot than it's damage number would normally have. It's essentially a quickened intensified lighting bolt with lowered range with only a +3 casting increase instead of +5. It's a way for dps casters to increase their ability to do damage in a single round. I don't recommend it.

The other spells are for classes that need action economy and don't have the ability to use quicken spells without a rod.
