Best spell to use with Spell Perfection?

Asking specifically for those using the CotW mod - given the spells and feats that work with spells (Wayang Spellhunter, for example) - what do you guys think would be the best spell to use with Spell Perfection, as an Eldritch Scion?

Lightning Bolt
I am trying to build same idea but the the amount of spells you cast with eld scion are so few. I generally go for sorcerer.

Chain lightning probably, though the prereqs for spell perfection are pretty steep.

Depends on what metamagic feats you have I would think? Given the feat requirements I'd be more inclined to forgo metamagic and spell perfection and just use rods, but if you're set on it hellfire ray or maybe Chain lightning as mentioned would be decent options.
