Besides it should do something more, as with echolocation you don't "see" with your eyes, it should negate ennemy mirror image and displacement spells.
Also, there are some foes that will attack you with a blinding attack (innate ability, they do it often). If you don't have a remove blindness spell/scroll, or don't want to bother with blindness, echolocation should help
is it practically alternative over true sight spell? or what's the difference between echolocation vs true sight?
Yes, specially since the true seeing spell seem to be bug atm and not working as intended.
Echolocation: You can perceive the world by creating high-pitched noises and listening to their echoes. This gives you blindsight to a range of 40 feet.
True seeing: You confer on the subject the ability to see all things as they actually are.
