Kaessi is missing in my game
In my game I’m currently in the Banquet of “A noble welcome” where there is supposed to be a scripted event with Kaessi offering me a drink. Except she’s not there, no matter what I do. I have the wildcard DLC (and all the other ones as well), I’ve seen her during the prologue, I can select the Thiefling race and the Kineticist class on a new game as well as select the avatars for Thieflings, but she refuses to show up. I'm not using any mods.

Steps taken so far:

- Tried the “new game” trick by starting a new game, quitting and open an older save file.
- Tried to disable and re-enable the DLC through Steam multiple times.
- Verified game file integrity
- Reinstalled the entire game and loaded a save file from just before I went to the banquet.

After each of these steps I tried reloading a save file where I'm just about to enter Oleg's location on the world map, so I can talk to Oleg and proceed to the banquet.

It seems the DLC itself is working but the trigger for Kaessi for some reason isn’t. I don’t really want to play on to see if she’ll show up later with the risk of missing out on her, as she’s one of my favourite companions.

Does anyone have any idea why it isn’t working? Any advice or help would be very welcome!

- Disactivate the Wildcard DLC
- Load the game and make sure you cannot create tiefling
- All your save files should say ''DLC require''
- Try the ''continue'' button to load the last save file
- Once in game, make a manual save
- Close the game
- Reactivate the DLC
- Check if you can create tiefling and load that manual save
- Visit the Throne room, (pass a day?)
- Visit the twin house

Maybe it's a ''old'' save file and the DLC was purchase ''later''?

In any case... progress the story just a little bit and visit her house in the capital.

Thank you for the reply. It's definitely not an old save file, I bought the DLC before I started playing the game (I started about a week ago) and the save file was from just before I got stuck with this issue (so minutes before it).

I just tried to visit her house and there's no one there either. It's completely empty. Also tried to level up my main character and found I can select to multiclass into Kineticist, so again that part of the DLC seems to be working.

I started a new campaign recently, got to that point and she did her thing. Your old save is probably broken. Mine were and I had to start over.

That's certainly possible, but to be honest I'm a bit reluctant to replay the entire first chapter just to test this, and possibly having the same issue.

Try to verify the integrity of the game files

Anyone with the Epic Games version of this game know how to "fix" Kaessi also in "A Noble Welcome"?
