Should they limit ammo?
I am running a 6-man party consisting of Amari, Linzi, myself as a Ranger/wizard, and THREE elven NPC's. They are Ranger/Druid, Ranger/Cleric, and Ranger/Magus. Right now, with five ranged attacks, I can nearly kill off just about anything within a surprise and 1st round with arrows alone. It's being smart about it, I know. However, without any limits to arrows, it's beginning to be a bit too easy. EVERYTHING else has a numerical limit which includes food, but not ammo. Your thoughts please.

If it's too easy, play on Unfair.

Unless they're going to make arrows weigh a ton it's not going to make a difference. And then it turns into another mess. It was probably omitted for the same reason reagents were.

You have limited magical arrows (in quivers) which is a nice middle-ground decision I think.
I personally would of liked to have to track ammo, but that's just me :)

I would agree with it, IF we get access to enchanted ammunition... Daddy wants his +5 arrows to go with that +5 bow

Naah, mundane arrow limits would add virtually nothing of interest and just dull micro-resource management. No thanks, I am happy to assume the characters sort all that boring stuff out on their own.

They don't stack.

Yeah that's why I can easily understand why they didn't... It's an unnecessary add-on.. But, it was in Baldur's gate and ToEE, which is kind why I loved them

If combats started at a great distance so you could get some withering fire before melee then missile weapons would provide an advantage and such resource management might be justified. Since almost all combats start within melee range on round one, There is no advantage to missile weapons in PKM so I don't think this is justified.

Or play with an all-story companion party (which should be the standard, TBH). I am this close to pulling out my hair sometimes because the story companions are not very "optimised" for the average min-max gamer but I am forcing myself to use them exclusively because "roleplay". I doubt anyone would be easily steamrolling anywhere if they had to carry around 5 of those story companions with them. -_-
