This is a current Gen Macbook Pro ... Same machine I use for playing WoW, Guild Wars 2, Pillars of Eternity, Grim Dawn and literally dozens of other games ... all which perform perfectly ... This is the only game in my library having this issue ... I have checked my network, CPU usage, background processes, minimum hardware requirements ... I also did a lot of research on forums and discovered the development team is definitely aware of the issue and only offers solutions to edit config files and delete bloated logs ... So the issue is definitely established ... but not addressed
That 'garbage' i-cpu runs Wow and Guild Wars 2, Grim Dawn, Pillars Of Eternity all perfectly ... at 1600x900 ish resolutions with high graphics settings ... of the dozens of games I have on Steam ... this is the only one with this issue - it has gotten a lot of reposting on the forums both on steam and the deve website and the developers are aware there is an issue but probably dont give a crap about the mac client so that's fine I just stopped playing no big deal
Reddit post. The guy also uses mac and claims if the game resolution is same as desktop it gives some problems. Try lowering it just a little. Tweak the graphics settings and see if it helps.
There is an option called Dedicated Fullscreen. It helps with performance i think but it messed up my ability to alt tab out to check up builds.

If you wanna read through it yourself.
I could also run it at full settings but had to upgrade to be able to play Fallout 4.
Guild Wars 2? Yeah maybe. Lots of eye candy. MMO's usually have some reduced needs.
Unity is a crap engine for sure, but I've run this game on 4 different systems, including an 8 year old gen 3 i5 with a 960 gtx. The issue is on your end.
Anything that's roughly 5yo or newer will chew on it no problem, unless your tuning is really off or something is failing. Provided it was a good spec 5 years ago that is.
Or maybe it's just another mac problem that is not a gaming platform anyways, so I don't really see the issue. Nobody in their right mind buys mac to play games on it, imo.
Is the mentioning of MMOs supposed to be a proof that your GPU is "strong enough" ? If anything it proves the exact opposite since those 2 games have extremely low requirements.
Besides even if you provide high-demand games as an example , all we have is your word for it.( which judjing by your ridiculus claims so far , doesnt mean much )For all we know you cant play those games either and in fact I believe that is the case.
Also your claim =/= established issue. Sorry to burst your bubble. But hey how about you provide LINKS of those posts ? Instead of just say " search for them, they are there, take my word for it , its a fact, mkay ?
Complain as much as you want , wont change the fact that you are merely trying to blame the game for your own hardware. Get over it.
2 fun facts : 1 ) Your profile games are hidden therefore we cannot see which games you can run ( by seeing their playtime ). Fishy
2) You actually have 20 hours played in Kingmaker and gave it a positive review. Yet you make this post complaining that is unplayable.
Do I need to add anything else that proves that you are making stuff up (for whatever insane reason that might be ? )
This game literally runs on a PS4 lol...
Thank you for offering friendly advice and not just telling my my new Macbook is a POS :-) I appreciate that very much I will definitely try this suggestion
The interesting thing about this is twofold ... the more progress made in the game the worse the issue becomes .. initially it was smooth as silk and very performant ... That's why I really did a lot of testing before jumping on here and complaining ... LOL ... Checked network speeds, ping times ... CPU usage, other running processes and daemons, etc. And checking youtube, forums, reddit ... etc ... and I was not getting 3 FPS I was getting 1 frame every 3 seconds my framerate was 0.333 FPS LOL .... it really was terrible ... I'm trying this on my MSI gaming lsptop now to see if there is an improvement :-) My hunch is that it is the Mac Port ... because ... yah ... If I cam play Guild Wars 2 with high grasphics settings on the same Mac ... it should definitely be able to handle a game of this calibur as well
Yah I felt like a game like GW2 woudl be a fair comparison for a 3/4 topdown RPG ... GW2 has a lot of graphics options for textures, distance, shadowing blah blah and it performs great on the current Gen Macbook pro ... I expect that Pathfinder wpuld ne be a game that is so resource intensive that I would get 0.333 FPS ... it was atrocious ... I'm assuming the Mac Port is jsut trash ... I have an MSI so I'll give that whirl
------
Just to be clear, here are the game's advertised minimum soecifications
CPU: Intel Celeron 1037U @ 1.80GHz
CPU SPEED: Info
RAM: 4 GB
OS: Windows 7 64-bit or newer
VIDEO CARD: Intel HD Graphics 3000
PIXEL SHADER: 4.0
VERTEX SHADER: 4.0
SOUND CARD: DirectX Compatible Sound Card
FREE DISK SPACE: 30 GB
-------
Compare that to the Macbook Pro specs and you will see it is way more than capable
Just a note: it's the responsibility of the person making an argument to back that argument up with evidence. Saying, "search the web" is not all the helpful when someone is debating the veracity of your claims. The internet is a big place, and you really can't expect people who don't believe you to spend the time it would take to search all the potential places. This is even more relevant for people in your situation: you want help, and you want people to believe your claims. Presumably, you've actually read other people's claims that matched your own. Where are they? You could easily prove your point by simply posting a few links, you've already done the hard part and found them on the web. So, why not post those links? Are you eventually going to wait until tons of people call you a liar and THEN post the links? What's the payoff in that?
I hate people who argue like you. Expect other people to prove your points for you. Seriously, you talk of 'hundreds', you're apparently tripping over the damn things, why not back your talk up?
