[Spoilers] Misbegotten Troll
I'm playing Kingmaker, I reach the end dungeon and literally this guy gets downed instantly cuz I have my MC, 1 Merc and Ekun just wailing on him. Find out he's Immune to Acid and Fire so I can't kill him, don't have any instant kill effects so my decision?

I literally walk away. Why the hell is this mini boss so badly designed. Immune to Acid/Fire so I can't remove his regen and the way the game works is that he won't die at all till that regen is gone.

In the end I had to just leave, grab Octavia who has Disintegrate to actually kill him. Kinda weird and bad design to put something like that when you know your party is split up.

there are a lot of ways to kill it. Pick your thing. Ability drain, coup de grace, level drain... It's meant to be like that. I swear gamers call bad design anything that requires any sort of cognitive ability these days.

Coup de grace. Problem solved.

If you know your party is split up, why not grab your party and go back for it. It's more like poor judgement than it is poor game design.

Did Coup de Grace, several times did not work.

Ability/Level drain with what? I'm playing a Ranger with Ekundayo being the first person I found.

Because it was presented as a strong troll enemy that I have previously fought in the past. Its poor game design because if my MC was any weaker (thank god I was some super beefed up Ranger who hit like 4 times her shot w/ Mirror Bow), the boss wouldn't have been lying dead on the ground, letting me de-aggro out of vision and actually LEAVE the room. If it was in a situation where there was no nearby autosave, it would've been a HUGE annoyance, setting back the player for awhile.

You're not doing it right then. You gotta hit a certain number. Better make all melee characters use it continuously and one of them will manage to do it. You can kill any regenerating helpless enemy with it - linnorm worms, trolls, etc.
"If the defender survives the damage, he must make a Fortitude save (DC 10 + damage dealt (which is calculated as: attacker's base attack + melee damage attribute modifier + weapon's critical modifier)) or die."

Did I mention I was a Ranger with Ekundayo only in that room and it BLOCKS YOU from leaving until battle was over?
Still thankful I just knocked the troll over with several Trips between my Dog and Okbo, just melted the guy.

Need some decent damage to go with it. I used my 400crit saint for the coup de grace on unfair last run and it worked, so at least that's sufficient for sure. Don't remember the fort save on the thing.

With whatever you have at hand. Crippling strike works, necro spells for level drain, etc.

Eh, how there are just the two of you there? You should at least have encountered Valerie and if you have DLC - tiefling twins. No matter, coup de grace should still work, even if you have no melee weapons. And if it doesn't just reload earlier and save more companions prior going there.

It was an intersection, I decided to go to the Troll area since it clearly had Ekundayo, one of my main DPS party members as its labeled "TROLL LAIR"

I guess this is your first playthrough then and you ended up at the basement first? Shouldn't have switched that lantern on immediately I guess, the well takes you to different places and time as does the fog. Normally you appear in another room and it's a straight line - tiefling twins, Valerie. Then other rooms.
That dungeon is a ♥♥♥♥ place, especially the first time. It's 3 big floors, but actually 6 because of the lantern, ugh.
