Advice on making a "lightning mage"
If possible I would appreciate some advice on making a lightning mage type character. So far my current idea is storm caller to 11 and then multi into either an air elemental bloodline or the lightning druid. I'm not too sure how well either of them would work or if there is a better option that I can't clearly see. Any advice on the matter would be appreciated ^^

If you get the mod "Call of the Wild" the druid gets a stormdruid class just saying, also great steam name!

Ty ^^ Also yeah, I'm not sure why I said druid. I meant Storm Ranger lol
The cotw mod also adds in the admixture wizard sub school (think its cotw anyway), so you can change the element of your spells.. In case something was immune to electricity you can change it on the fly :)

If you are wanting to make a lightning mage, a blue/bronze dragon sorcerer seems like the most straightforward way to go. An air/weather cleric or a druid would work as well, though in all three of those cases you'd want to make sure to memorize mostly electricity-themed spells.

A more offbeat option is the thundercaller bard, whose signature thunder call ability can be used around 50 times per day at high levels and offers one of the highest stun DCs in the game. That kind of character plays more like an alchemist than a bard but you can keep even high-level bosses stun-locked most of the time if you so choose.

I'm not personally a fan of the stormwalker ranger as it gives up too much in return for too little. But you can certainly get through the game with it on normal difficulty if you so choose.

Would it be best to just pick one? Or would dual classing either of them be a good idea.
Also why dragon over air ele? Air ele lets me make any spell into electric damage iirc

Yes in all of those cases you would just pick one rather than multiclassing, because you'd want the highest possible caster level. And yes, air ele would work fine as an alternative to blue/bronze dragon if you go sorcerer.

Oki ty. I was initially going to do thundercaller to 11 and air sorc to 9. I think I'll give air sorc a try before giving druid a try. Thundercall seems really scary to use without nuking your allies.

Lightning Kinetisist will also do what you want.
