For context I’m playing a 4 man Damage caster party and both sorcerer and arcanist do the job better than him. If you want him for buffing he does ok but there are better options than Druid for that as well.
The question is whether you're looking for a character who's decent at a lot of different things, in which case druids could be a good fit for you, or one who's best-in-show at healing/buffing or nuking/debuffing, in which case you'd be better off with a different class.
these are for the pnp but you can apply more than 95% of it to the Kingmaker
https://rpgbot.net/pathfinder/characters/classes/druid/
They get Summon elemental swarm and insect swarms lategame which are okay but by that time its not relevant enough to make the class good.
The only saving grace is the druid who can pick illusion spells for mirror image.
Their early and midgame spelllists are strictly worse than clerics/arcane and the transformations are bad to slightly below mediocre at best.
They have pretty much nothing that would make you go "mhh if only i had druid here that would help so much"
The pet is occasionally useful but there are just better classes that get pets.
