Varnhold's Lot DLC additions to the main game

I understand some new spells for sorcerers were among the things that were added with the DLC.
I am specifically trying to find the Spiked Pit spell but it doesn't seem to be in the level 3 spell pool for me to learn.
I have a save file with everything done from the DLC, i haven't imported it yet into the main game though because i haven't reached Chapter 3 yet.

Spiked Pit spell is from the Arcane Unleashed DLC

It's free so just make sure it's installed when you right click properties in your Steam Library screen. According the store page, they're in scrolls and there's a merchant.

But wait, this scroll merchant that the Arcance Unleashed DLC mentions is already in my game, next to the 2 other merchants. That means i have the DLC installed no?
Those pit spells are nowhere to be found as actual able to be learned spells.

I'm not sure, but maybe the pit spells are only on scorlls? This means, they're unavailable as normal spells for sorecerers (who can't learn spells from scrolls...)

But if I remember correctly, this was a bug some time ago and was fixed.

Also maybe, if you installed the dlc later than your acutal game, the spell isn't on the normal spell-list to learn. I would try starting a new (varnhold)-game and check, if the spell is there, now, after you installed the Arcane anleashed-dlc

i never installed the arcane unleashed dlc separately. the scroll vendor was there from the start of my barony. he only sells create pit though when it comes to pit spells scrolls.
Also i have seen sorcerers with spiked pit, so they can definitely learn it as a level 3 spell.

W/ the DLC, the Pit spells are there to choose on level ups. I never paid attention to getting them from scrolls, though it sounds like only the basic one is available like that.
