'Kingdom as Companion' quests
I was looking at the steam achievements to see what content Id missed after finishing my playthrough and saw this one : Friend of Many - Succeed in three 'Kingdom as Companion' quests. I have no idea what those are or where to get them, but apparently I didnt do them. Anyone know?

Got the same question, *bump*

Did not achieve that one either, but maybe you need to have the Babarians, the Kobolds and the Goblins as citizens of your kingdom?

E.g., making artuccio a Vassal, the Tiger Lords a Vassal aswell as accepting the Goblins via Nok-Nok?
Just spitballing here though

Got the achievement without making friends with kobolds and or mites,
I can not say for sure but it may be artisan quests.

For me it sounds like you have to "make friends" (being allies?) with kingdoms, e.g. Pitax or Restov. Maybe that's why i still haven't got this achievement as i only have Pitax and an alliance with Restov and not a third kingdom so far...

That would not fit my experience, in the playthrough that I got it in I had only allied with Surtova and the Pitax stuff was not yet resolved.

The achievement triggered when I entered the House at the Edge of Time. I believe this means it checks if you completed at least three companion quests at this point.

It completed a lot before that for me, also note that achievements in this game tend to complete at the end of the session rather than when they are actually earned.

Random guess: Kingdom of Old Sycamore, Trobold, Lizardmen kingdom and maybe the kingdom from the Deal with the Devil quest. Pick 3 of 4. I eradicated the Trobold and didn't help the devil-contractor dude, so I don't have the achievement. Makes sense or not?

First playthrough:
- Killed kobolds and mites at Old Sycamore
- Killed kobolds and trolls at Trobold
- Helped the lizardmen
- sided against the Hellknights and finished the questline
- finished game

-> no achievement

Second playthrough
- Killed kobolds and mites at Old Sycamore
- Killed kobolds and trolls at Trobold
- Helped the lizardmen
- sided with the Hellknights and the quest got stuck
- did not yet defeat Pitax

->got achievement

So it does seem unlikely that that is what it is about.

Another idea would be quests that only occur as a consequence of projects, for example I managed to do the miner quest in the second playthrough (in the first playthrough I had no free advisor at a crucial point to resolve the problem related to it so the quest never triggered)

I think I figured it out. I got the Friend of Many (unlocked 18th April) achievement at the same time as I unlocked the Opportunist achievement. So I am thinking to unlock 'Friend of Many' you will have to unlock at least three Kingdom related events.
For me I am thinking it was these ones - but it could be others as well.
1. Opportunist - Successfully solve 100 'opportunity' kingdom events. (unlocked 18th April)
2. Troubleshooter - Successfully solve 100 'problem' kingdom events. (unlocked 15th April)
3. Useful Instruments - Unlock all five additional kingdom stats and assign leaders to respective positions. (unlocked 13th April)

The First results achievement (unlocked 27th March) does not seem to count as I got it first and you can get it at barony level itself.

There is several kingdom-alignment specific quests. For "Kingdom as Companion" you need to complete three. Quest specific events for them occur 3 times through the game, in different chapters. There is several start triggers, depending on alignment, LE quest, for example, Feast of Nails starts with random encounter, but most often it is Throne Room event. First quest that triggers is the complete match for alignment, and two after is for "neighbors" on alignment chart. All of them mostly include solving 1-2 event cards or talking to NPC in some small location.
In result, LE baron will get LE quest first, NE and LN after (I have no idea how at will work for TN).
Problem is, changing in barony alignment can break this achiev in most unpredictable ways.

Time for the good ol' necro because google ain't helping me out otherwise.

So I understand it Part 7 curse is the point of no return, gotta finish the game up there. I got about 50 days before that happens and I never got these quests to pop up. I only got Nature's Wrath somehow, but my Kingdom is Lawful Good I should have gotten Honor and Duty. I never got it. In fact the linked wiki has next to 0 information on when these quests are supposed to start or how they start.

I'm supposed to do 3 of these for the achievement but I only got 1? Are they supposed to be done across seperate playthroughs?

Well I decided to do another playthrough before talking Wrath of the Righteous as it seems they;re still trying to patch some things out.

Guess I'll see if I manage to get this dumb achievement this time around. My Google Fu still turned up nothing about post I made almost a year ago to the day hahaha
