What can I sell
What kind of staff I can sell without worry that someone could pay more for it? Can I sell for example or those animal skins, silver, gold, copper rings, gems?

Anything except the antique-stuff´s, that you should sell later on.

All other items are sold everywhere for the same price.

Basic rules of thumb:

* If you press the "offer" button on the trader screen all the stuff auto-transfered to the sell window will be "junk" and safe to sell. This is normally all the stuff located in the "other" inventory tab.

* All the stuff you should *not* sell to normal traders will be located in the "notable" inventory tab. You should not sell this stuff to them. All quest related gubbins is stored in the "notable" tab and so protected from the trader "offer" button

* There is a dude who you will meet in Act 2 who will buy/use all the stuff you collect in the "notable" tab for megabucks. It's done through dialog, not a trading screen, so you can't make a mistake with it.

* When you get your kingdom you will be sorely short of BP all the time. You can buy BP from a trader at exhorbitant cost. You will likely be tempted to keep all the nice gear you find in case you need it later. You will be tempted top buy your companions uber-gear on offer. Don't be so tempted. Sell everything you can reasonably sell after kitting out your main party with what they need (as opposed to what they's like) for BP however much it sticks in your craw.

TL;DR: if it's in the "notable" tab, don't sell it. Otherwise lay your hands on every last BP you can without gimping your main party companions.

As far as I can tell, all vendors offer the same prices for all items that DON'T have a yellow "magic circle" floating around them in the inventory screen; those items usually either sell for more at the Storyteller, function as a "set" that sell good and get you a story (with extra XP) from the 'teller, or can be used to craft artefacts with him. Or they're quest items. Those items also have a note in their description that "an antiques trader" would pay better for them.
