The second is right before you take over the barony where you can tell her you would want her by your side.
Then there is the buckle event that you mentioned but I believe you need the romance counter at a certain level or above in order to trigger it.
You also increase/decrease romance points if you have her in your party depending on your choices. Those that I remember in the first 2 chapters are : 1 ) Killing everyone at Old Sycamore 2) Persuading Stag Lord's 2nd in command to surrender to the law 3 ) Letting Bartholomew keep the troll.
And I did the first step at like chapter 3 >.> otherwise I’ve tried doing everything valerie wants.
If you dont mind, you can install the bag of tricks mod to see her romance counter to get a general idea of what is your status with her. I believe you can also edit it if you want to.
There also more dialogues/scenes later but I didnt mention them in order not to spoil things.
