A "usable item" quiver called Ancient Hunt - how does it work?
There seems to be very little info about this item. I was struck by the fact that it was worth >10,000 gold but had only one charge (WTF?) but from what I've seen so far indicates if you equip it (on Ekun, say) it goes in a quick slot, if you then use it from there, it will give you (Ekun) permanent + 2 damage and To Hit buff against Fey.

I haven't tried it yet.

Is this basically correct? It's a permanent fire and forget buff to one selected character?

Is there anything else it does associated with "lawful" and "cold iron" mentioned in the description?

Is there any reason not to simply trigger this on Ekun, for example, right now (other than preferring to trouser ten grand for it, or I suppose what's better, ten grand or this buff)?

It has 1 infinite charge as opposed to the 20/day limited charges of the other quivers you get. It's basically a toggle.

Definitely keep it. You've probably noticed-- there are a lot of fey in this game, and 10,000gp isn't all that much in the late game.

Yeah, I mean I wasn't really thinking of selling it unless folk told me it was totally useless, but as you say there are a lot of fey around.

Toggle it? You mean happen you want to free up a quick slot when not fighting fey theoretically you could temporarily switch it off, move it to stash and reactivate it later?

It can also be use to bypass Lawful and cold iron DR and kill those that need cold iron weapon.

Oh, you can definitely switch it in and out of your quickslots as needed. I just meant it's not like other items with charges, it's more like Power Attack or Bardsong. Fire and forget, like you said. It's infinite, you can switch it on or off, in or out of your quickslots whenever you want.

Necro-bump:
If I activate this on my bard mercenary, is it bound to her forever? Or can I swap it out to Ekun for the times where I add him to my team?

Back to the merc, once active can I switch to the other quivers I own - the ones with 20 arrows/day? I have the lovers arrows (speed+ dominate?) and another quiver of ultrasonic arrows.

It does not get bound to anyone - put it on the belt and you can activate/deactivate it at will. Remove from the belt and you can give it to anyone else.

For the second question: yes, you can switch at will between quivers.

Fun fact it does not bypass lindwurms cold iron bit

Meaning these arrows you got to bypass those big fake dragons? U S E L E S S
