Camping Food?
Some newbie questions.

Camping. Seems the little bard likes to give my main character burnt offerings every time we camp. While I appreciate the sentiment, I think an edible meal might be more helpful.

I've found/bought some recipes, and I have all the ingredients for some of them, but she doesn't seem to be using them. Is there a reason to even have these recipes or collecting the food and such you find?

If the recipe is usable, can I sell it once I've read it, or does it need to be in your inventory in order for it to be used for cooking?

Also what food is being burnt? I can't tell if any food is leaving my inventory when she makes these offerings to me.

Thanks!

Use 'manage' when you use rest to open this menu.

Right click on it in your inventory to learn the recipe and it's gonna disappear after.

Cooking Hearty Meals will not require any special materials on your part. It just magically goes poof and viola, food is here.

Recipes you have to write them into your cookbook. Right click the item and copy down recipe. The recipe will go poof afterwards disappearing from your inventory.

It's a bit confusing but when you start to set up camp, there's actually a Manage button at the top left. There you can set up where you want your members to work and what to cook for. While there are supposedly extra benefits to cooking food in which your characters enjoy, I find it redundant as you'll most likely be either cook the Hearty Meal as it requires no materials and I'm too lazy to carry extra materials for my DPS to increase that little bit amount. I guess on extreme difficulties every +1 matters but as it stands, completely pointless.

I'm not seeing the camping menu in that format. All the character portraits are listed on the far left with what tasks they have. They seem to auto assign based on stats so I haven't had to change anything. The bard is always cooking ... and making burnt offerings.

Yes, thats the standard AUTO view. There is a MANAGE button at the top above the portraits which will lead to that customization screen posted above.
Took me also a while to realize.
