Every reliable tactic to win this fight involves at least some level of cheese or a non TSS valerie.
That guy has like 5 thousands Lay on Hands, even on story mode he will take 10 min if you play defensively.
I've always defeated him with just buffing spells, potions and and the like and then just fighting normally. No cheese pre-fight casting of grease or anything like that. The fight just takes a long time with both of them missing each other, until Valerie smacks him down.
it doesn't make anything easier.
Never. So never I wasted a three hours trying to beat him.
I put blur, heroism, barkskin, mage armor and bulls strength on Valerie. Nada.
Now help me out!!!
You only need to bring him down to half health I think.
As far as Attack you could be at 16-17. Possibly higher if I'm forgetting something which I probably am
7 from class and level, 1 from weapon focus, at least 1 from a magical weapon, 4 from strength, 2 from heroism, and 1 from haste if you have any scrolls for it. It would also give you an extra attack at your highest attack bonus. And another 1 if you have the helmet from the DLC.
Also, blur and displacement, my Valerie had Sunder armor and used it on Fredero as he used it on her.
Agree on blur, displacement, and enlarge.
