Fredero Sinnet - without sleezy tactics
Valerie is level 7. I used respecc twice and I'm unable to win the fight.

How to win fair and square:
No lowering diff to pansy level
Only TSS class for Valerie

Short answer is you can't win fair and square unless you're willing to reload until you get incredibly lucky rolls.

Every reliable tactic to win this fight involves at least some level of cheese or a non TSS valerie.

Buffs(spells and potions), good gear, and a good build. I've always gone with the Cornugon Smash and Sunder Armor feats on her. Bit of luck definitely helps too.

Honestly, you don't. It has no impact at all on her. It's better to just start the fight and go get a cup of coffee while she lose ;)

Fredero is designed to hard-counter a defensive TSS who plays fair. Thus, as Eonwe said, the best way to beat him is via cheese or non-TSS spec. If those are out of question, the third-best way is to switch from defensive to offensive. Equip your best two-hander, buff strength, heroism, etc., use every damage-oriented gear piece... and hope for good rolls.

I think on unfair I buffed her as much as I could with Haste and everything, used a two handed weapon with 4x crit multiplier and reloaded until I landed 1-2 crits or enough consecutive hits.

That guy has like 5 thousands Lay on Hands, even on story mode he will take 10 min if you play defensively.

define cheesy.

I've always defeated him with just buffing spells, potions and and the like and then just fighting normally. No cheese pre-fight casting of grease or anything like that. The fight just takes a long time with both of them missing each other, until Valerie smacks him down.
You can load up your inventory and drink /use any potion straight from your inventory during the fight.

Never. So never I wasted a three hours trying to beat him.

I put blur, heroism, barkskin, mage armor and bulls strength on Valerie. Nada.

Now help me out!!!

On top of everything try this: Give her your best 2 handed, use Enlarge, get Vital Strike, increase her magic device, start the fight with the Wand of True Strike and hope your second attack hits.

You only need to bring him down to half health I think.

Hitting him is the biggest issue which Sunder Armor really helps with.

As far as Attack you could be at 16-17. Possibly higher if I'm forgetting something which I probably am

7 from class and level, 1 from weapon focus, at least 1 from a magical weapon, 4 from strength, 2 from heroism, and 1 from haste if you have any scrolls for it. It would also give you an extra attack at your highest attack bonus. And another 1 if you have the helmet from the DLC.

But it does.
Also, blur and displacement, my Valerie had Sunder armor and used it on Fredero as he used it on her.

Respec her to ranger favored enemy human. :winter2019coolyul:
Agree on blur, displacement, and enlarge.

Play a conjuration DC focus sorcerer, and put a pile of heighten Grease before the combat on the site where Fredero is supposed to be. And hack the prone guy to death with 2 hander. Fair and square.

Any help with leveling up Valerie and my party so displacement can last longer? I'm right at the beginning of level 7 and maybe this fight will me much easier once I level up?
