Mirrored image calculations
Does someone know how is it implemented in Kingmaker?
From 3.5 DnD I remember that each image had AC of 10 + DEX modifier, meaning that during attack, the attacker first rolls if he hit the image or real thing, then check for AC if he hit the chosen target, so...

1 - Do roll for target happen first here as well, so an armor reliant scion with not so high dex will benefit less than unarmored DEX based one would?
2 - If images have their own AC, does it derive from casters DEX or other bonuses - such as Sword Saint or Monk apply there?

It's based off of your AC. If an attack beats your AC then there's a roll to see if it hits you or one of the images based off the number of images. So if you have 3 images and yourself, it's a 1 in 4 chance that it will hit you. If the attack doesn't hit but only misses you by 5 or less one of the images gets destroyed in that case as well.

Thanks for clarification! This means mirrored image is MUCH more powerful than I expected, especially with 60+ AC where it basically gives me a chance to avoid critical hit

Why is one image destroyed if u are NOT hit but missed by 5 points or lower? Anyone else beside me thinks that is odd? I mean okaaay, but then why is everyone saying mirror image is so awesome and OP, i mean you loose the images even if u are NOT actually hit... so they seem to be more useful in case u know that U would be hit anyways and therfore you can absorb the image but from the perspective of a tank? it seems not that great? or am i missing something? i mean being missed by 5 or less is not that uncommon and it destoyes an image 100% it seems... so you basically gain nothing, i guess you could aim for skyrocket AC and then use it to avoid nat 20's but i dont know.... seems uneffective for a tank, blur is better for sure, as long as it is not negated

It's to mimic a near miss. And it's not like you can only have one of them.

true but as a tank and at this rate, they won't be on very long, not like u get that much mirrors after all... +1 every 3 level? that is little

It's a disposable buff, it's not something you'll have up 24-7. From a 6th level caster thats 3-6 potential hits you're not taking from something that could kill you easily and gives you time to kill whatever is threatening you.

And I don't know how the interaction works in-game but last I was aware there was no confirmed rule on which came first, but it made sense to me that your images benefited from blur/displacement. So at my table at least, the images gained the effect too. From the way it's worded it makes sense, Owlcat might have done the same.

well... i see how the spell is good, very good for low AC classes even and sure it makes even tanks even more tankier, just feels like the spell is a bit too overrated though but i see how it would be very much wanted for unfair runs because of the crazy damage
