What is the point of "Alertness" feat ?

+2 to Perception or +4 if Perception is at 10.

One can get Skill focus for Perception for +3 and +6 instead,
Whats the point of Alertness ? There are some other feats that boost 2 skills with one feat, is this a bug or Alertness is just pointless or for those that want X-ray vision for giggles ?

In Pen&Paper Alterness gives +2 to Perception and Sense Motive, but in Kingmaker both skills were condensed into 1 skill. This leaves this feat somewhat broken.

Alertness feat is supposed to prevent a character from being flat footed in start of combat which is the real boon in PnP. This is very important for characters which rely on dex for AC like rogues. I am not sure if this is implemented in this computer game though.

Really, it should prevent a character from being flat footed in the beginning of combat and they didn't implement it? This is one of my two biggest complaints in this game and my number one reason for dying. I have to go out of my way get Uncanny Dodge.

That's not what it does in TT at all. Not in Pathfinder.

Alertness and Skill Focus stack so you get +5 and +10 if you have both. Alertness does NOT prevent you from being flat-footed. Maybe you're thinking of D&D instead of Pathfinder.
