Slashing/Fencing Grace & Buckler?
I know that in tabletop you can use Slashing/Fencing Grace along with either a buckler or a small shield as they leave your hand free.

Does it work properly in Kingmaker? In tabletop it's my favorite for melee bard builds, and I don't want to base a build around it only to fail at level 3ish.

I know that some edge case rules don't work in Kingmaker, like using monk punches or claws to deliver touch attacks with my dragon disciple build. (*tear*)

Like Shazbot mentioned, you'd need to burn 2 extra feats in the tabletop to be able to use Grace feats along with a shield, because as both Slashing/Fencing Grace state:

"You do not gain this benefit while fighting with two weapons or using flurry of blows, or any time another hand is otherwise occupied."
If its being used for an object the hand is considered occupied for the purposes of this feat.

That appears to be the way that it works in Kingmaker - but it's not for tabletop. The buckler and light shield (as opposed to the heavy shield) specifically leave your hand open - which is great for clerics and paladins who want a hand free to hold their weapon so that they can spell-cast. (Shift weapon to shield-hand, cast spell, and then shift weapon back.)

And it's also great for someone who wants to use Fencing/Slashing Grace.
