Stutters every 2-3.5 minutes
I have the following PC:

GTX 1080 8GB Ram
16 GB Ram
i7 9700k
ASUS Motherboard

I play the game at a mostly solid 60 fps. However, I still see frame-time stuttering spikes every two or three minutes. It does not matter if the game is paused or what I'm doing, or how low the graphic settings are, it just happens rhythmically, on schedule. I think it has to do with Unity's garbage collection and/or multithreading issues, since I've sen similar issues in some more demanding Unity games, but I'm not sure.

I am using Process Lasso to set affinity to three cores, which I think might be helping to reduce the frequency of the stuttering, but its not going away completely. The best compromise I found is to play on exclusive fullscreen using adaptive vsync, which makes the stutters less visually jarring. If you're wondering, the stutter happen in borderless as well. I notice that during some stutters, the gpu usage takes a quick, sharp dip, but it doesn't happen on every one. Both my gpu and cpu usage are fairly low, so I'm really not sure what is going on. It's not unplayable, but it is annoying. Has anyone else seen this and fixed it?

Use performance manager to look for spikes in the activity of drives, network, etc. It may be that a process in the background is doing something.

A few weeks back, I found that that my nephew's computer had a browser 'feature' that supposedly checked a hundred websites for coupons. On my gaming computer, I have disabled Windows Updates, the Steam browser and overlays, as well as a number similar legitimate processes, so that they do not interfere with my enjoyment of my hobby.

And of course, look into you memory usage, and make sure you do not have something hogging up memory and accessing the swap file.

Who the hell uses ♥♥♥♥ like affinity tweak for high end cpus nowdays. I have cpu like you and have none of the issues. This crap is for granny computers.

You problem has to be somewhere else, probably garbage programs running in the background and who know what else.

As I have written elsewhere, I sometimes have another program running that uses 6 of my 8 cores (i7 8700k, clocked at 4.6GHz) and see no effect. Older CPUs will be affected by all sorts of stuff, especially automatic updates and possibly antivirus programs, but a high end modern CPU should not be.

Worth doing a full check that your PC has not been hacked in any way, including by bitcoiners.

You have no idea what you are talking about. I have tested this game on 7 brand new pcs with I7 processors/Ryzen processors all released 2017,2018,2019 I have tested differnent gpu's.

In the end there was stutter on all 7 PC's tested. 1 thing made a huge difference on all of them and that was changing the affinity so the game only uses 3-4 cores instead of the many these pcs have. This helped a lot but it did not solve all the stutter. The game seems to stutter like clockwork on its own. You can't spend money to solve this problem as I already spent thousands on new stuff. The hardware is better than what this game needs. Also turning the settings to lowest does not give an increase in FPS further proving its not hardware.

Brand new Tuf gaming monitor, brand new everything because I tested this game on many pcs looking for the perfect one to play this one. To bad every single one had stutter with this game ONLY. No other game.

The game has horrible optimization and they broke stuff after some patches and instead of being responsible and fixes those issues they just left players with a broke and jank as fk game.

The absolute best this game can run after tweaking things like affinity and grapic settings is like 95% at ites best. Mean that about 5% of the time the game is stuttering or lagging somewhere.

My computer has specs that can handle more powerful games than this and there are thousands of players who reported the same issues as the OP here and me. Its rather COMMON KNOWLEDGE at this point.

Maybe it's something to do with the electrical wiring in your house, or even the surge protector if you were using the same one.

A fix for the stuttering, at least on my end, was easy. It's tied to the graphic settings somehow, assuming you're running the game on high, just set it to low apply, set it back high and make sure to set AA to 4x not 8x and apply again. I never had the stutter come back. Dunno if it's a bug with AA specifically or not, but after messing around for a few days awhile back, this worked.

It could be the aa, I've heard of games/gpus trying to aa the aa... and it never stops.

You do have the stutter its ingrained in the game. Now if you don't notice it then thats great for you but its there.

Perfection is zero stutter or lag. I am the kind of person that just can't stand the slightest bit of it. I just get mad and exit the game. I love the game and like I said I have tried 7 brand new pcs with different hardware all of them way above requirements.

I am always buying new PC stuff. I have another new ryzen processor coming tomorrow. That one will have less cores so I can literally test that out by itself without this one that has like 12

The AA handling of the game definitely seems janky. I used my Nvidia to take control of the AA (taking away the control the game had on AA) this improved the performance.

So despite the fact my gpu was handling the graphics already what ever little decisions the game made normally about aa was causing problems.
