Greatsword Warrior Build
I want to do the typical build for a two-handed fighter with greatsword and heavy armor, perhaps mixed with paladin or barbarian.

I have more or less clear the skills to unlock, but I do not know very well is what stats improve along with Strenght and Constitution. What values should it have in each of the stats for the most optimal possible build? The pj will be human.

Sadly greatsword is a poor choice in this game unless the character can buff his weapon like the paladin.

I will not recommend to go greatsword for fighter and barbarian, but paladin or even magus could make it work.

Greataxe however is a great choice for two-handed build.

Unfortunately, this is my main :( What 2H weapons would you suggest on such a character, if not a greatsword? (Edit: I hate greataxes for aesthetic reasons.) I do have 2 Paladin levels though. Will this be sufficient for self-buffing?

If you have a monk level then quarterstaff is pretty good and fun.

I have not pay too much attention to other type of 2handed weapons since greataxe is so good but the reach type bardich, glaive and fauchard have some really gone ones for sure.

I see. Hmm, I might break out a "Gimli" and use a greataxe after all ;)

Foshar, Glavie - best choices, imo. The reason: they are reach weapons, very, very good instances present in game. Crushing enemies behind your tanks back - thats the fun. Two-hander DD always vulnerable. Foshar "Snake Prince" hits about 350 damage on crit (d15 roll and better)

Imo reach weapons should need extra feats to hit the opponent very much like bows . Specially if it's a slashing weapon.
Realistically speaking. Likely to hit the tank in the process xD

Are you playing on Unfair? If not I don't see why you need to minmax to the xtreme, as the difference between weapons of the same type are rather trivial. Sure some are slightly better than others, but would that be worth it to offset your rule of cool?

A 2h greatsword warrior is perfectly viable on all difficulties less than Unfair, and perhaps even on that if you're willing to choose the slightly less than optimal build. In fact I have a pure 2hander as a merc and he tends to deal the most damage in my party. It is also fairly simple to build one as well. You might find a nifty 2d6 speed elemental greatsword from a skeletal salesman. However you need an arcane caster in your party to buff him with displacement, blur and other spells if you want him to survive more than 2 hits.

You might want to consider a DEX based build that wields a finesse sword in one hand (as if it were two handed), such as the elven curved blade, estoc or dueling sword. Don't forget that you get a damage and attack bonus if you wear a medium size 1h weapon with the second hand free. Sinking a few levels into monk will give you a character whose WIS and DEX score both modify AC. The downside is that you won't be able to wear any armor.

But you don't want to run around in a pyjama. You want to look like a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ space marine, amiright? In that case you might want to consider a cleric or a crusader. Their mediocre HP and BAB can be offset by the formidable variety of personal buffs their class gets, like Divine Power, Extended Divine Power and Heightened Divine Power. Although some people strongly recommend multiclassing, I would prefer running a full cleric. Because nothing spells power trip than casting that level 8-9 personal buff your other cleric wouldn't even consider due to build limitations and lack of party benefit. It should be noted that the survivability of a melee cleric without a shield is about the same as an Amazon Prime employee during holiday season, so make sure to have someone else tank the blows. Body armor means very little in this game apart from secondary stats and good looks, because if you don't have max possible AC, you don't have any at all.

If you want to focus your build around Sneak Attack Damage, you could take a few easy dips into Slayer, Vivisectionist or Thug as your secondary class. A simple fighter 4/Slayer X can have a pretty sick damage output.

I haven't experimented with the prestige classes or Magi, so I can't really vouch for their effectiveness. The point is that an efficient build may not necessarily be the most optimal one - try to find what works for you and don't be afraid to use your imagination. Otherwise everyone would be running that crazy 4 class build that deals 100 sneak attack dice and 1 shots every single enemy on the map.
