How to increase Touch AC?
I am not there yet, but I've been reading a lot about the horrors of those enemies that target Touch AC :(

tAC is the most overvalued thing ever. Just CC WH if you are that scared. Otherwise just mirror and imp. invis are sufficient even for unfair if you kill em fast enough.

Very few things attack touch AC.

Shocking Touch you use Protect/Resist Electricity, Vampire Touch is bugged and always hits anyway, Crystals from WH are not spammed, have low damage and around 25-28 attack. There are a few more things I don't even remember.

The one thing I remember I have to be careful about is some Magus enemies, but I think you only face them in the Tenebrous Depths.

Yes i do agree,

There is probably more bonus that can increase touch AC like sword saint intelligence, but here is a example of what go into touch ac and what don't.

Anything that gives a non-armor/non-natural bonus to AC (spells, items, potions etc.) will increase your touch ac.

Since bonuses of the same kind do not stack, your options depend on what you have on hand:

https://www.d20pfsrd.com/basics-ability-scores/glossary/

Scroll to "Bonus".

If there are spells that "sound" like they should not increase your touch AC (armor bonus/shield bonus etc.) they usually say that they do anyway (see the Shield spell for an example).

Is it useful to pump touch AC? Depends.

It is much more useful to protect against the secondary effects of such enemies. Do they apply poisons (delay poison, communal), elemental damage (resist/protect from elements), negative energy (death ward) and so forth...

I do suppose you refer to the soul eaters? :) Those are nasty buggers. Do not get hit since owlcat simplified stat damage. In paper version, death ward would protect you, but not in this game. In this game they just stat damage you to death.

In that special case, you need to not get hit.

- Displacement
- Improved invisibility
- Mirror Image

Mind you some creatures see invisble, but displacement and mirror image are only beatable by true seeing, tremorsense and blindsight (also beating invis. :) ).

Do not fight them, they are outsiders:

- Dismissal
- Banishment

Thanks for the comprehensive answer! Unfortunately, I do not think I have either Dismissal or Banishment on any of my spellcasters :(

You run without a cleric/inquisitor? I was quite sure that dismissal is on their spell list in this game.

Soul eaters usually have good reflex and mediocre/bad fort/will saves. Use that to your advantage.

Thanks; when do I encounter them?

IIRC in chapter 3 in whatshisname's tomb. I am old, my memory is not as good as it used to be.

Got it; thanks. I am quite old, too, by the way - and perhaps about to expire soon ;(
