Longsword vs 1-H Bastard Sword availability
which one is easier to find better weapon?
and which one is the best in late game?

man dividing skill mastery for these sword is idiotic. i doubt the game able to provide every type of weapon fairly. well i understand if it pnp since DM can spawn any kind of weapon depends on the player weapon of choice, but this game is not able to do that. owlcat should combine these weapon proficiency or mastery or whatever is there into one bigger groups. like exotic weapon, just combine it man. i'm at chapter 2 and doubtful to pick weapon focus, this is the most dangerous trap in this game. i like to not meta gaming and pla blindly but this game alrdy beat me to pulp for chosing wrong weapon skills. after playing for almost 100 hours, my party is so unsuitly built and not able to survive against most common enemy. sure i can respec but i alrdy did that for almost every char and now the cost for respec is more ridiculous than running a kingdom LOL

i'm digress.
topics. don't tell me to change to another weapon pls. i like it more lore friendly and stick to 1-h straight sword like weapon

There is a rageclaw for midgame. It's not anything special, but it's good enough till you get your artisans high enough.

It depend if you play with kingdom management on auto or not but overall, they are both 'meh' until they become extremely good, longsword being the best of the two if you are very good with kingdom management and artisans tier upgrades.

Longsword progression look like this:

- +1 early
- +2 or a +1 keen for a very long time
- Rageclaw, a +2 adamantine furious
- coronation -
- Redeemer, one of the best weapon in the game if not the best. However you need to be quite good with artisan and kingdom management to get it very easily.

Other then Redeemer, there is Unbound Blade during Pitax chapter, Light of Valor sold by the fey merchant and Nazrielle masterpiece Perfection.

For 1h bastard sword:

- +1 early
- +1 flaming sold in the capital
- ........nothing for a while......
- with a lot of luck, Opperssor, a tier 1 item craft by one of the artisan.
- coronation -
- During Pitax chapter and easy to get Ravena's Kiss and Unstoppable Khanda

There is one more call Martyr's Blade but i don't recall where that one drop or is sold.
