Creeping doom is super-nice with much the same tactic applied, except pet can relax as well. That's pretty much it. The rest is just a bad sorcerer and buffs for the unarmed monks/shapeshifting which come online somewhere in the mid-game or later. Guess feyspeaker can also pick up phantasmal webs that are as good as ever and being bumped a level only helps the DC's.
Oh, and there is elemental swarm that is also good cause it sticks forever.
I would've liked summons if those were something better than fodder, apart from animate dead that can carry you from 5 to 10-ish no problem.
Not going to use much of anything else as well anyway in the early levels as druid ,aside from buffing and all the spare spells can be used for summons
Druid starting feats are very mediocre anyway.
At least with summons feats you can use them summons effectely
I really hate the AoE CC since it lasts 1 min/lvl with a huge radius, for a party play its overkill and a hindrance.
A cleric of Gozreh makes a better druid caster, IMO, gets Sirroco with Weather domain, and a pet with Animal.
There is a nice druid tanking build, with Feyspeaker, 1 Monk, for high AC, high touch AC and mirror image.
Yeah, I think Mirror Image is way too strong for just a l2 spell. Any tank that lacks it, feels too weak, because 20s happen and 20s crit happens. Get instant gibbed with back to back crits hurts.
IIRC, Crane Wing & Riposte also works in animal form? How about deflect arrows?
Crane should work . Not sure about deflect .
Not diping monk on my druid tho . Find it annoying that almost every spec dips into it xD
Just gonna have Valerie tho that as she is nice to multiclass anyway
When it comes to druid spikes I think they are annoying abit but you can Def use it effectively in a party too . Perhaps with fear effects combined so the mobs keep stepping on them.
No doubt druid excels at aoe spells the most like it was mentioned . Tho I like the summons too until you can get good aoe spells . Like flamestrike and sirocco .
Ah don't be so pessimistic xD . You have many spells and not every1 going to play the best classes .most important is that you enjoy it and squish most out of the class . Plus the spike spells . In a way it's the games fault imo as tabletop I'm guessing translates bad with the game . The Devs could have done a better job there. Aside from that it's a decent game tho.
Well druid is a generalist . Not much to expect here and as said. I wouldn't be suprised if tabletop is completely different to what the game offers . There is so much op buffing in the game ...Which translates to inflated stats on enemies and as everyone knows . Inflated stats on enemies is a lazy way of making the game harder cause of certain game decisions. It's poor game design.
