Natural healing is whatever minuscule HP you regenerate for 8h of rest(+1 for setting camp or whatever it's counting it in).
everyone is resting regardless of the job you assigned.
only job you have to have is a hunter with good lore nature to cut the supply usage. The rest are whatever. Cooking something but the basic meal just takes too much weight from you imo. I just never bother with it and sell cooking ingredients whenever I can.
camp camouflage actively hurts your exp from ambushes unless you really are on the last ropes when you go to rest. Only thing guards do is being awake when the attack starts(it's ok but not mandatory) and maybe wake your party members faster, but I'm not sure about that.
Maybe you can hire a druid or a cleric in the meantime. If you are level 2 they are not too expensive. (There is no druid companion I think) plus, a druid will have a good knowledge in nature, which is good, it lowers resting time.
Normally I use the hunt. Ekundayo ability resting is good (less rations needed)
"Use uncast heal spells" is if you have a spontaneous healer or a druid with healing spells learnt, the game will use the spells that you didn't cast to heal the party
When leveling, Linzi can learn some cure spells.
