Not real sure, I just like to keep characters one basic class all the way through so they can reach the full level 20, but I heard wizard might be good for all the self buffs not sure

Monk and Finesse Training for unarmed strike could be awesome if you don't mind no armor.

I thought there was some types of armor monks can use like cloth armor / ie: robes

Monk can equip robes y. Monk would also give access to some finessable exotic weapons (I mean Sais).

Yeah there's an awesome +5 armor robe in like ch 4 somewhere I found but I remade my playthrough so I have to find it again lol

Ah yeah that's it, for my main character I chose Inquis Pet build rather than summon didn't realize the pet would actually come in way more handy later on than just the summons, freaking mammoth adds like 2k carry weight at level 11 ha

one level of monk for Wis bonus to AC and Crane Style. robes and bracers wind up being better than light armor as you can use your full Dex bonus to AC. You can optionally take a few levels of fighter for more feats and better attack bonus.

A different idea tho. Roll an elf and use elven curved blade. Multiclass ranger to get power atack without requirements (piranha strike won't work with ecb).

I'm not a main rogue but i used the respec mod on Octavia to turn her into a mystic rogue (the one with natural magic) x10 + arcane trickster x10 and it works really good with the sneak attack on spells.

Fighter/rogue is the classic combo. I did that with Fighter 15/Rogue 5 (that was the plan, did not reach 20), which worked great dual-wielding daggers. You get lots of hp, can use pretty much all weapons and armor, get a feat per level, and have armor and weapontraining. If you go DEX as I did, you have no problem with your stats.
I have little use for the min/max builds, starting with that I like to play with all of my toys, which monks pretty much can't. I also like to be reasonably powerful throughout the game and not only when I am through 75% of it.

The Inquisitor pet build is really pretty strong, mostly just for party buffs and stuff like that but also the extra carry weight is ginormous if you pick the bigger animal. Also that's only a level 9 pet as well i'm level 11 atm not even past the Valley of the dead yet
