Sure. Expecting the developers to spell it all out for you isn’t though.
A lot of RPGs actually do signpost pretty well what's going to happen in a general sense when you make a decision.
My own tendencies revolve more around "what will give the roleplaying-related result I want" rather than what I'm guessing is a "what will give the mechanical result I want" motivation here, but either way there's still a reasonable desire to have a general idea of what the consequences might be that actually usually is satisfied by a game.
I do agree Pathfinder's story makes this more complicated because of the intricate butterfly effect a lot of things in the plot tend to have, but that's also pretty unusual for RPG games to work that way even in modern gaming.
And even those games that do have similarly intricate plots, there are at least also more detailed guides available. (Case in point I have a streamer I watch who's doing a Dragon Age playthrough off and on where she's played the game before and this time she wants to roleplay out a specific character arc and so she's been leaning on a guide to do so.)
I am fully aware of the fact that Bronzeshield Fortress is not a great breakthrough, but I like to have it.
Anybody care to answer this for me?
Cheers
There's a series of kingdom projects and region upgrades that revolve around "restoring the road of shields", a ruined dwarven trading route. You get some pretty nice kingdom bonuses from completing them all, but that's not honestly why I want to do it. I just want to have my PC be the kind of ruler that would restore stuff like that, and I don't like leaving things undone.
So, does it change visually? Like do dwarves move back in? Maybe a new dwarf merchant?
No. If you allow the Kobolds to join your kingdom you get buildings that upgrade espionage, which is kind of hard to upgrade.
It’s kind of a push kingdom management-wise, both have advantages but neither is critical by any stretch.
Available region upgrades are events, I edited an existing opportunity event (lostnoble in my case). Changed the event GUID to the one for SouthNarlmarches_Upgrade_DwarvenKeepRestored in two places. Changed a region reference and a region GUID (for some reason the region has both a GUID and an ID in the safefile which can be referenced, you can find the latter by searching for the village name). Also set a couple things to null to make it look like another kingdom upgrade event. After that it showed up in game.

Not sure you're still around (or whether anyone else who's done this can kindly explain), but I'd like to cheat the Bronzeshield restoration event in myself. However, although I think I've found in the player.json save file - while another kingdom event card is active - the event GUID to change in two places, I'd need more specific guidance on the rest below; any help would be appreciated. I.e. I'm not quite sure where the region GUID and ref/ID both are, or what the "couple things" you set to null might be. Thanks very much.
