Magus - Spellstrike + Spell Combat
Rolled a Magus yesterday and wanted to check on some stuff on the webs, as this is my first time playing her.

I noticed an abundance of discussions about how the two don't work with each other properly. I only just reached level 2 and haven't managed to fight an enemy I would not need to walk up to, so cannot say for sure. But can anyone confirm if it works as intended now?

From the description it says, that a full round attack should in my case be:
- Touch of Fatigue through Scimitar, dealing weapon damage as well as applying spell;
- Scimitar slash, dealing weapon damage;

I see the character using a spell and then slashing no problem. But I was wondering, if it would be easier to reroll now, as I seriously would hate to micromanage the casting of a touch spell each round.

If you don't want to constantly cast touch spells to take advantage of spellstrike, i'm afraid Magus won't be your deal: The whole schtick is using the Magus' weapon to apply the spell to an enemy, as doing so inherits the weapon's critical capacity (18-20 for scimitar and rapier) and can cause you to deal higher damage. In fact, the Magus can use his arcane pool to make the weapon keen, doubling its threatrange to 15-20. Which is really. darned. high.

I am well aware of that. What I meant there is, I want to pop the right-click toggle on a spell when I want to supernova one big baddie. I don't want to pause, click the spell, click the enemy, unpause, repeat.

You don't have to pause to do that. Just keep ToF on auto cast and when you want to use another spell for it hover your mouse over the enemy and hit the key for the spell you want to cast.

Yeah, my question is, does it work? Because there are numerous posts about how the Spellstrike does not actually work and I haven't seen my character attack twice with the weapon yet. He first boops them in the nose with Fatigue and then slashes with Scimitar, as per Spell Combat.

Yeah it works. It didn't used to but it does now, I'm guessing you're reading older posts.

Wonderful to know. And yeah, two to three months old.

Set Touch of Fatigue as your default action.

You character will autocast as part of his melee attacks every round, gaining the extra attack starting at second level.

Move, attack or Charge, then enable Spell Combat and ToF. Otherwise you might Spell Combat at a distance, Spellstrike... And forget additional attacks. Meanwhile the shtick is Spell Combat & Spellstrike + Full Attack with your iterative attacks.
