Favored class bonus skill rank
It's only actually giving me an extra rank on odd numbered levels. Is it supposed to be doing that? I was under the impression you get one each level.

I'm playing a human as an aside, so possibly something to do with the human extra skill is gimping it?

I thought the bonus to class skills only applied on the first rank and then it increases normally afterwards. That's how it's been working for me anyway.

No it's not a bonus to class skills, it's just an extra spendable skill point. But it only gives me it on odd numbered levels.

Wierdly Linzi, who is the other character I have taken it with (everyone else gets a meaningless hitpoint :D), has gotten the extra spendable point on every level.

The skills per level is counted by one halves instead of whole numbers. So getting +2 to your INT will add 1/2 skills per level instead of 1 skill per level like in the PnP version. I guess this is to deal with the much lower amount of skills.

That's wierd as ♥♥♥♥. Seems to fit with what I'm seeing though.

They used the consolidated skills optional rules from unchained. Which says you get half skill points. Values always round down, so Owlcat gives you one skill point every other level.

It works more or less exactly like the PnP rules for the variant. Note that there's no favored class skill point option in PF:K without modding (unless they changed it in the last couple weeks and I missed it) and that the consolidated skills rules in PnP don't actually tell you what to do if you choose to take a bonus skill points as a favored class bonus as far as I know (though that implies you just get a full skill point).

For the favored class bonus, the PnP game lets you choose between +1 HP and +1 skill point (or various other race-specific options.) In the digital game, it always gives you the +1 HP option.

the whole game uses to many optional rule sets, when they insisted they were making a core pathfinder experience.

I have eldritch arcana because some of the spells missing in the default game are insane for them to be missing (knock for instance). I guess I'm getting it from that. Forgot it was a feature.
