Wild gaze questions.
So, fist of all, i recently finished game for the first time, but i still have some questions left about Wild Hunt Gaze mechanic.
First of all, how could you deal with it without blind fighting or being blind? Yeah, I know that Freedom of Movement can help with paralyze, but atleast in my game aside from paralyze their gaze also inflict Confusion, and I have no idea how can you prevent it's effect.
Stacking high Will doesn't help - even with save throw around 25+ your character bound to have atleast one bad roll when dealing with 5-15 Hunt members at once.
So... any advices for possible future playthroughs?

Blind fighting doesn't stop the wild hunts gaze because owlcat believe it's not a gaze attack

Personally I just bite the bullet and give my party blind fight.

That's weird because it did protect my party members. I mean sure the game still make them take the checks, but they suffered no ill effect from failing. The same thing happens with delay poison and being force to make saves that don't matter if you fail.

Well, that's unfortunate... being forced to pick one perk isn't critical, but still unpleasant.

I haven't noticed the confusion thing - are you sure this isn't some Nerids or other fey in the mix doing this?

Well... most of my team has some kind of access to blind fighting aside from Kanerah and Octavia... and each fight with wild hunt Octavia was in paralysis and Kanerah under confusion. When I gave freedom of movement to Octavia, next fight she ended in confusion state like Kanerah.
That stopped after I gave them blind sight.

And yeah, that was happening in each fight with Wild hunt, even when they were alone.

Interesting - I play on Challenging, what difficulty are you on?

Normal, with slight alterations(1.0 damage for enemies, normal stats instead of weakened and full damage crits for enemies).
