Well, paladins, clerics and druids have alignment restrictions. Are you one of those?

Also, if you drift into that opposing alignment it can not only shut down your spells, but much more! There are scrolls of atonement though if you need to zip right back to your alignment. A bit pricey, but overall not bad if it helps you keep your spells and lets you answer in whatever alignment you want.

- Paladins must stay lawful good.
- Druids must stay neutral and must not wear metal armor.
- Clerics and inquisitors must be no more than one step away from the alignment of their god. (e.g. followers of a LG god must me LG, NG or LN)
- Some spells have a descriptor, e.g. chaotic. Lawful characters cannot cast chaotic spells, god characters cannot cast evil spells and so on.

their are a few classes where you must stay a certain alignment no matter what and if you change alignment then you lose abilites/spells

Alignment shifts happen! I go back and forth between LG and NG all the time. My halfling Archaeologist Dragon Disciple wouldn't have it any other way! :)

I srsly don't know how people change so easily alignment like that. I played with my heart and values in mind as NG and never have i ever changed alignment.

Yeah, I always play as good and never managed an alignment change not even between lawful and chaotic.

@OP There are also scrolls, sold by the priests that reset your alignment to what you want as far as I remember if you have problems with that.
